- The base configuration of the OCEP optical communication earplug system Model OCEP1000 provides the convenience, hearing protection and signal clarity of an OCEP active earplug. The headset provides double layer hearing protection from the combined passive attenuation of the OCEP earplug and the circumaural earmuff with the OCEP optical drivers. The audio signal is supplied from the desired audio source through a standard audio cable. The base configuration of the headphones provides a monaural signal channel with binaural sound delivery to the two earcup OCEP drivers.
System options include:
- Option 1: Stereo signal channels
- Option 2: Backup conventional speakers in the earcups in addition to the OCEP optical drivers for switch selectable emergency operation of the headset without the OCEP earplug.
